2. Purposes and legal bases

We process your personal data only for the purposes listed below, each on the stated legal basis under Article 6 GDPR.

• Account and authentication: email address and encrypted password, for performance of the contract.
• Exams and results: answers, scores and progress, for performance of the contract.
• Payment: transaction ID, amount and date. Card details are processed only by Stripe. Legal basis: performance of the contract and statutory accounting obligations.
• Transactional email: email address, for performance of the contract.
• Website analytics: Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager, only after cookie-banner consent.
• Contact and support: name, email address and message content when you use our contact form or email us.
• Account profile: first name, last name and phone number if you provide them voluntarily.

3. Processors

We use processors to provide the service.

• Supabase Inc. for database and authentication, with storage in the EU region (eu-central-2, Frankfurt).
• Stripe Inc. for payment processing.
• Vercel Inc. for hosting.
• Resend Inc. for transactional email.
• Google Ireland Ltd for website analytics through GA4/GTM, only after consent.

4. Retention periods

• Account data: until you delete your account.
• Exam results: 2 years after your last activity on the platform.
• Payment data: 7 years due to statutory accounting obligations.

5. Transfers outside the EEA

Stripe, Vercel, Resend and Google may process personal data outside the EEA. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or recognised transfer frameworks. You can request more information via hello@vcaklaar.be.

6. Your data-subject rights

Under the GDPR, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. Send your request to hello@vcaklaar.be. We respond within 30 days.

7. Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.
