The modular B-VCA exam in 2026: modules, timing and pass marks
Since 1 September 2026, modular B-VCA exams have also followed ETT 3.1. Instead of one full exam, candidates take four separate module exams. The official modular route is available in Dutch only and must be taken at a recognised exam centre.
VCAKlaar is not a training provider or exam centre. Our original practice questions help you prepare.
The four modules
The VCANederland update of 27 August 2026 gives the chapter structure below for exams from 1 September. Ask your exam centre which current blueprint applies to your exam.
- Module 1: chapter A, 15 questions and 30 minutes
- Module 2: chapters B.01, B.02 and B.03, 20 questions and 40 minutes
- Module 3: chapters B.04 and C.01, 20 questions and 40 minutes
- Module 4: chapters C.02, C.03 and D, 15 questions and 30 minutes
The main change from the previous module structure is that chapter D moved from module 1 to module 4. Modules passed before 1 September remain valid under the transition arrangement. Ask your exam centre how your previous results apply.
Pass marks and validity
Each module has its own pass mark: 72.5% for modules 1 and 4, and 69.5% for modules 2 and 3. These differ from the regular B-VCA exam, which has a 64.5% points threshold. Official results are calculated in points; your exam centre can explain how question types with partial credit are assessed.
Module results are valid for up to one year. Passing all four modules leads to the B-VCA diploma. Official modular exams are in Dutch only and are administered by a recognised exam centre.
Preparing for the modules
Practise one module's topics at a time, then review the questions you missed. Also practise within the time limit. Focus on applying safety principles to workplace situations, rather than memorising answer patterns.
VCAKlaar uses original practice questions and does not copy official SSVV exams or sample exams. Start with the free diagnostic test to identify topics that need more attention.
